Alerts are low-volume by design — only listings worth acting on (ALERT and WATCH) ever get pushed. Here's how notifications work.

## The channels

Hardware Hunter can reach you on:

- **Email** — from `alerts@hardwarehunter.io` (reply-to `hello@hardwarehunter.io`)
- **Telegram** — link it from Account → Telegram (the connect button generates the correct deep link to the bot)
- **Discord, Slack, Pushover, ntfy** — via webhook or Apprise-style URL

Set channels up in **Account → Notification Channels**: add a channel, then hit **Test** to confirm it actually arrives before you rely on it.

## What each plan gets

- **Free:** a **daily email digest** of the best matches. No instant alerts — not even instant email. The digest is being rolled out in stages, so if your account isn't receiving one yet, that's rollout order, not a bug.
- **Pro and Lifetime:** **instant alerts** on your connected channels (Telegram, Discord, Slack, Pushover, ntfy) plus email, pushed as matches clear your bar.

The digest goes out at 09:00 (account timezone, defaulting to UTC if none is set), Free tier only.

## Nudge emails

Beyond alerts, Hardware Hunter occasionally sends short nudge emails:

- A hunt that's gone quiet for a while
- A hunt you set up but that has no results yet
- A scan window that was missed

These are rare and meant to save you from checking the dashboard manually.

## Known limits

- **ntfy is ntfy.sh only** for now — self-hosted ntfy servers aren't supported yet.
- **No quiet hours.** You can't schedule when alerts fire. Pausing a hunt is the workaround.

## If alerts aren't arriving

Start with the channel **Test** button in Account → Notification Channels, then check spam (email comes from `alerts@hardwarehunter.io`), then confirm the hunt is active. Full troubleshooting lives on the [Troubleshooting](/support/troubleshooting) page.
